Director - Corporate Performance & Operations - UAE
Job Objective
Direct and oversee the Corporate Performance & Operations Division by taking overall responsibility for
monitoring the satisfaction of HAAD customers and employees, tracking the performance of HAAD and
oversee the development of quality assurance programs and quality control policies & procedures in
HAAD.
Key Responsibilities/Duties
Managerial Role:
Provide direction and manage employees in the Corporate Performance & Operations Division in
performing their delegated tasks;
Delegate and monitor divisional functional goals, objectives and programs;
Align the Corporate Performance & Operations Division long term and short term strategic goals and
objectives based on the vision, mission and overall objectives of HAAD;
Initiate pro-active analysis and advice on key strategic areas relative to the Corporate Performance &
Operations Division;
Oversee the development of the Corporate Performance & Operations Division performance
improvement initiatives, recommend changes where seen necessary and ensure that corrective action
plans and strategic initiatives are identified and implemented accordingly;
Ensure that Corporate Performance & Operations Division plans are capable of meeting the needs of
HAAD in the future;
Prepare reports on the overall performance of the Corporate Performance & Operations Division for
the CEO;
Review all periodic reports prepared by Corporate Performance & Operations Division to ensure that
they are prepared in a timely manner;
Review and quality assure all services and work products delivered by the Division;
Ensure that the performance of various tasks and the conduct of the staff in the Division are in
accordance with the HAAD policies and procedures;
Advise the CEO on the progress of all work under their control.
Organizational Role:
Ensure availability of required resources to carry out all the tasks related to the Corporate
Performance & Operations Division and ensure effective utilization of staff;
Review (as a second / third level reviewer) and discuss with the appraiser, areas of concern, if any,
and approve periodic performance appraisals of divisional employees;
Perform periodic performance appraisals for Section Head / Advisors within the Corporate
Performance & Operations Division (in coordination with HR Section);
Identify and recruit the required external experts, advisors, consultants, etc. needed to support
divisional goals, functions and activities;
Identify required skills and knowledge and nominate their staff to attend appropriate training
programs in order to acquire them (in coordination with HR Section);
Ensure that divisional policies and procedures are documented and adhered to and that all staff in the
Department adhere to the HAAD code of conduct;
Identify the technology needs that ensure that divisional processes are performed efficiently and cost
effectively (in coordination with the IT Section).
Functional Role:
Direct and oversee development standards for processes and analytical models to analyze and
identify causes of performance gaps and variances in the implementation of Corporate Performance
& Operations plans and policies vis-à-vis the established key performance indicators (KPI’s) under
the guidance of the CEO;
Oversee the development and implementation of quality assurance programs and quality control
policies and procedures of HAAD to ensure their effective operation;
Oversee the development and evaluation of feedback from surveys and questionnaires targeting
HAAD customers as well as in-house focus groups to track the performance of the divisions /
departments / sections in HAAD;
Oversee the performance monitoring and evaluation activities and oversee performance measurement
mechanisms to analyze performance of all divisions / departments / sections in respect to the
implementation of strategic plans and policies by HAAD;
Direct HAAD internal process and performance assessments and develop performance improvement
initiatives;
Oversee and ensure that performance reports are communicated properly and effectively to all
divisions / sections within HAAD and the relevant entities within Abu Dhabi;
Conduct 3- monthly risk assessments for HAAD as instructed by the Chairman;
Direct HAAD’s quality programmes and participate in the Abu Dhabi Awards for Excellent
Performance (ADAEP);
Direct the coordination of activities in respect to facilitating capacity building workshops and
training sessions including and not limited to organizing workshop timing ,venue etc;
Represent the Corporate Performance & Operations in Panels and subcommittee(s);
Represent and assist the CEO at bilateral meetings and events;
Lead the coordination with relevant HAAD divisions/departments as well as the Abu Dhabi
government entities to ensure the provision of data required on time and as per request;
Assist the CEO in the development of policies, procedures, reports and analyses related to HAAD;
Perform such other related tasks as delegated by the CEO.
Compile and update HAAD’s 5-year Strategic Plan to the specifications communicated by the
General Secretariat of the Abu Dhabi Executive Council;

Preferred Qualifications:
Minimum of a Masters Degree in Strategic and Performance Management or equivalent;
Preferred Experience:
Minimum of 12 years of relevant experience in a health related field.
