Job Objective
Provide professional advisory services regarding complaints handling and charts review.

Key Responsibilities/Duties
Functional Role:
Provide medical and technical advice, as required to the Section Head – Clinical Reviews &
Investigations and/or Disciplinary Committee with the objective of ensuring timely and
appropriate resolution of complaints;
Assist the Section Head – Clinical Reviews & Investigations and/or Disciplinary Committee in
the decision making process specifically through medical and technical advice with
determination on the reasonableness and appropriateness of medical treatment and intervention;
Participate in the development and implementation of department policies and procedures and
ensure alignment with the overall strategic goals of HAAD;
Report to staff in the Section on any errors in patient medical records, files and documents;
Attend key scientific meetings / conferences and keep abreast of relevant scientific publications
to maintain awareness of current scientific developments within specialized therapeutic areas,
and establish and maintain contacts with external customers and opinion leaders;
Undertake initial chart reviews, and recommend the need for independent clinical review panels
where necessary;
Formulate relevant questions to be answered by the independent clinical review panels;
Attend Disciplinary Committee meetings to discuss complaints;
Maintain confidentiality and privacy of patient, client, and employee information in verbal,
written, telephonic and electronic forms at all times in accordance with HAAD laws and
regulations;
Perform such other related tasks as they arise and as delegated by Section Head – Clinical
Reviews & Investigations.
